Toronto Beach Volleyball League Stabilizes An Uncertain Season

Toronto, Canada - May 08, 2010 - As beach volleyball in Toronto is seemingly paralyzed by contract and payment disputes, Toronto team builders The Xpeerience Group announced that its own Toronto beach volleyball league is on track to start league play in May 2010.

In early April, disputes between the City of Toronto and recreational league organizers put the future of beach volleyball in Ashbridges Bay in doubt. The Xpeerience Group foresees no such complications as it prepares to start its back volleyball league nearby at Cherry Beach. The Xpeerience Group plans to support all skill levels in four on four and six on six games for men, women and mixed group play. League size and composition will determine the ultimate schedule, with matchmaking set by the Xpeerience Group's professional facilitators.

Xpeerience Group head Robert Ortali said he would welcome "orphan" players and teams from other organizations.

"We started planning our league in January and had no idea that the city would have problems with beach volleyball elsewhere," said Mr. Ortali. "We hope they straighten it out with a solution that works best for beach volleyball enthusiasts. But no matter what happens at that end, our league is ready for players. Let's play in May!"
