Travco Group Reaps a Handful of Awards during a Prominent Tourism Event

During an event that was held by the Ministry of Tourism in Egypt on January 15th to honor travel and tourism companies, Travco Group’s affiliated companies were recognized for their outstanding efforts in generating the highest number of incoming tourists to Egypt in 2010, in addition to offering a myriad of services ranging from hospitality to transportation to name a few.

Out of the top ten travel companies in Egypt, three companies falling under the Travco Group umbrella reaped awards, namely Travco Travel in first place, Touring International in ninth place and Alpitour Group Egypt in tenth.
 
As for the awards that were distributed amongst Egypt’s resorts in the 3-star category, Sol Y Mar Dar El Madina was recognized, as well as Iberotel Hotels & Resorts in the Red Sea for providing the Top Training Programs, in addition to Jaz Omar El Khayam for the floating hotels in the 5-star category award. Moreover, in the category of the top transportation companies in Egypt, Travco New Transport made it to the top of the list.
 
Despite the unrest in Egypt the past year, Travco Group still challenged the circumstances and managed to bring in over 976,000 tourists, which is only a mere 35% drop from its numbers from 2010. Through its three award winning travel companies, Travco Group is still continuing to promote Egypt as a world class and safe destination, and will exert all efforts into increasing the numbers this coming year.
