Trend Micro will be offering an early peek at its mail server security product for Lotus Domino™ on IBM’s AIX platform.

Cupertino, Calf. -- January 13, 2010–Trend Micro will be offering an early peek at its mail server security product for Lotus Domino™ on IBM’s AIX platform.

The latest version of ScanMail™ Suite for Lotus™ Domino™ supports 64-bit Domino on AIX and takes advantage of the Trend Micro™ Smart Protection Network™ infrastructure: Newly added Email and Web reputation technologies that directly access the latest correlated, cloud-based, global threat intelligence.

With the Smart Protection Network, customers get faster, more effective protection against the latest email threats, including those containing malicious URLs, now far outweighing those with malicious attachments.

With one of the largest cloud-based domain-reputation databases in the world, Trend Micro tracks the credibility of Web domains and IP addresses by assigning a reputation score based on factors such as a Web site’s age, IP email sending behavior, historical location changes, and indications of suspicious activities discovered through behavior analysis.  That rating is immediately accessible to ScanMail products, enabling messages with links to malicious URLs to be immediately blocked.

The comprehensive ScanMail Suite delivers anti-spam, antimalware, web threat protection and content filtering to prevent data theft and loss. Specifically designed as a native Lotus Domino server application, ScanMail enables easy and intuitive management, and is optimized for high-performance scanning- now with support for 64-bit IBM Lotus Domino on AIX.

Trend Micro is demonstrating ScanMail at Lotusphere 2010 in Booths ## at the 17th annual Lotusphere conference, January 17-21 in Orlando, FL.
