Chicago, IL – A significant upgrade to improve the fueling experience at Trillium CNG's™ compressed natural gas station at San Francisco International Airport, one of the largest public CNG stations in Northern California, is complete.

Trillium installed new dispensers, islands, canopies and signage at the CNG station at 50 Old Bayshore Highway. The upgrade is part of the company's lease renewal with the airport. The five-year lease, which took effect April 1, has two-year renewal options in 2018 and 2020.

"Trillium CNG has operated a compressed natural gas station at San Francisco International Airport since 1998," said Mary Boettcher, president, Trillium CNG. "We thank the airport for renewing our lease and are glad to be able to support its environmental stewardship by providing clean, domestic and abundant natural gas for the many natural gas vehicles that serve the airport daily."

By the end of the second quarter of 2014, Trillium CNG will be operating 81 compressed natural gas stations nationally, with 54 of them having public access.

"The San Francisco International Airport has been an industry leader through its 100% Clean Vehicle Policy," said Airport Director John L. Martin. "There are currently over 600 buses, vans, taxis, and autos which run on compressed natural gas at SFO which supports our goal to achieve zero-emissions in ground transportation."
