Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – March 11, 2013 -- (PressReleasePoint) Simutech Multimedia, a leader in simulation-based electrical troubleshooting training software, announced the immediate availability of their latest title, Troubleshooting Industrial Controls 2, on CD.
Previously available through download only, this new title incorporates new resources and is available directly from Simutech Multimedia Inc. or world-wide through its authorized distributors.
Focusing on troubleshooting Industrial Controls, this new software is designed for the maintenance person who is required to troubleshoot and maintain electrical equipment and systems containing PLC controls. It joins the other two titles in the Advanced Skills Series to provide skills to match the more complex systems.
Training with Troubleshooting Industrial Controls 2 will help users better understand PLCs. They will learn the more advanced features of PLCs, how they operate, and how to interpret ladder diagrams. A virtual PC is included in the simulation to monitor, change modes, change settings in the ladder diagram and download programs to the PLC to control the behavior.
The program features multiple simulations and uses a 3-phase AC Supply for its power portion consisting of pumps, agitators, heaters, motors, transformers, contactors and overloads. The control portion consists of a generic PLC with 16 digital inputs and 16 relay outputs with temperature, float, selector and pushbutton inputs all combined within full simulation environments for troubleshooting with over 55 malfunctions to diagnose and repair.
"We are really excited to extend our advanced troubleshooting skills offering with the new title,  more and more, we’re hearing that people need to troubleshoot more complex systems, while still keeping downtime to a minimum" said Warren Rhude, President of Simutech Multimedia. "In the past, building these required skills meant extensive on-the-job mentoring or extended periods with hardware simulators. Our approach and simulation environments teach skills safely and effectively providing a depth and breadth of experience unmatched by hardware simulators. It is this hands-on experience that I believe makes this program a truly effective way to learn to troubleshoot industrial controls."
This newest addition to the Troubleshooting Skills Training System is available in four editions; the Personal Edition for personal users; the Pro Edition for small business and industry; the Enterprise Edition for use in training programs in industry; and the Education Edition for use by colleges, apprenticeship training programs, and other educational institutions.
