The release of the new micro budgeted feature film with a crew of solely two people has been released on worldwide VOD. A series of 7 featurettes details how the two filmmakers made it all happen with no budget and no previous filmmaking experience.

Los Angeles, CA USA, March 13, 2014 - (PressReleasePoint) - PROBLEM OF EVIL, the directorial debut of Ethan Kogan and Jessica Silvetti, has been released on worldwide Video On Demand. Light and Shadow Pictures has partnered with the independent film companies VHX and Kinonation to bring you the film via Amazon Prime, IndieFlix and many other online outlets. A relationship with BitTorrent, Inc. will allow customers to download exclusive, free bonus content available only through their innovative new service, BitTorrent Bundles.

Kogan and Silvetti spent 14 days shooting the film. The two of them comprised the entirety of the film crew, save for a few additions on special occasions.

Called “Intelligently written, slightly sinister,” by the London Film Review, “Thought provoking,’ by Fanboy Comics and “A polished and well-made piece of filmmaking,” by Rogue Cinema, Problem of Evil is the story of a documentary filmmaker who searches for a cult leader claiming to be an angel. The film focuses on the inner circle of a modern day religious cult, touching on the topics of unquestioning faith in a higher power, and the timeless theme of love, loss and redemption.
Written, directed, shot, produced by Ethan Kogan and Jessica Silvetti, Problem Of Evil stars Hemky Madera (Rango, Showtime’s Weeds, HBO’s Luck), Cynthia Ettinger (HBO’s Carnivale and Deadwood), Jarreth Merz (The Passion of the Christ, ER, An African Election), and Ethan Kogan (TNT’s Southland, ABC’s Pushing Daisies). The film is immediately available to stream and download at http://www.problem-of-evil.com .

Light & Shadow Pictures, founded in 2011, is an independent production company engaged in the art of narrative storytelling to enlighten, fascinate, and to challenge the way people think. They aim to show that nothing in life is black and white.  There is only light and shadow.
