Participants Gain Valuable Skills Pertaining to Crisis Communications, Personal Branding and Online Video Marketing
IRVINE, Calif. – March 6, 2014 – University of California, Irvine Extension has announced three online webinars focusing on various marketing topics essential for business professionals of all industries. The free webinars will include topics such as crisis communications in the media, how to use personal branding to remain ‘unemployment proof‘, and learning what the best practices are in online video marketing. Each webinar will be led by an expert panelist who will share expertise and insight into each topic.
“UC Irvine Extension recognizes the need to provide relevant educational industry-specific topics for participants to stay ahead of the competition,” said Tom Pokladowski, Esq., director of legal and finance programs at UC Irvine Extension. “Remaining atop industry trends and best practices is what sets successful business professionals apart from the rest.”
The marketing webinars will be offered online. Interested participants are encouraged to register as early as possible. The webinars are:
• Crisis Communication in the Media Era (March 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PST): Understanding the dynamics of social media during a crisis is key to minimizing its impact on an organization. Expert panelist Shel Holtz will share insights from his 35 years of organizational communication experience and lead the discussion on how best to practice crisis communications in a social media era.
• How to Become Unemployment Proof- The New Rules for Personal Branding (March 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PST): It is essential for any business professional to know how to brand and promote oneself effectively in order to be seen as a game-changer in the business world. Mark Fidelman, CEO of Raynforest, author of Socialized!, and a columnist for Forbes, will discuss building a successful online personal brand in the age of ever-changing technologies and economic uncertainty.
• Online Video Marketing Information Session (April 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 13:20 p.m. PST): Featured speaker, Caroline Wong, will share tips for creating interesting and sharable content within a video budget. She’ll also address how to avoid common missteps that even experienced marketers and creatives make when producing video content.
