Sliedrecht, Netherlands, 05 August 2014, UNIT4, the global leader in software solutions that enable business change, today announced the final two appointments to its new leadership team as it accelerates its efforts devoted to innovation and growth.
Ray Leclercq takes on the position of CFO with responsibility for group finance and legal affairs. He will play a vital role in the future growth of the company and its transition to a subscription-based business model as SaaS revenue continues to accelerate ahead of license revenue growth, by 40 per cent in the first half of 2014.
Ray joins UNIT4 from private equity firm The Gores Group, where he held the position of Managing Director, European Operations and had responsibility for portfolio company oversight and controls. He previously held the CFO and most recently the CTO (Chief Transformation Officer) role at Unify, a unified communications business and a joint venture between Siemens AG and the Gores Group. Prior to that Ray worked for the BT Group and was the CFO for BT Global Services and prior to that, the CFO for BT Openreach. He began his career in general audit at Coopers and Lybrand.
In addition, Daan Snijders has been appointed Executive Vice-President and CTO effective September 1st. Responsible for driving the UNIT4 product innovation efforts, he will manage global product management and development teams, and oversee the company’s continued transition to SaaS with extended focus on cloud and mobile capabilities.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the software applications business, Daan joins UNIT4 from Infor where he was responsible for its largest product suite covering Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). During this time, he led efforts to develop the first true industry ERP suites in the cloud for the automotive and aerospace and defense sectors providing the latest analytics/reporting, social collaboration and mobile capabilities along with specialised industry functionality.
“We are committed to substantial future investment in innovation to ensure that UNIT4 remains on its ambitious growth path and continues to meet the demands of enterprise software users,” said José Duarte, CEO of UNIT4. “Organizations around the world are focused on delivering a new, consumer grade experience to their users, clients and citizens based on Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud technologies.
