UPDATE: Buildings reopen after gas leak

UPDATE (11:40) The School of Architecture building, 1879 Hall and Marx Hall have reopened and normal activities can resume following a gas leak this morning. PSE&G and University officials remain on the scene as repair work continues.

ORIGINAL STORY: At about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, a natural-gas leak was reported on campus. PSE&G is working to repair the leak, and emergency responders will remain on campus until the issue is resolved.

Due to the leak, the School of Architecture building, 1879 Hall and Marx Hall were evacuated and will remain closed until further notice.

About 15 people were evacuated from the buildings and brought to the nearby Woolworth Center of Musical Studies and Frist Campus Center. Classes are not in session at the University.
