Toronto, Canada – GAO Research Inc. is offering its V.34 Fax Modem Software which implements all the mandatory features of V.34 ITU-T international standard and incorporates a higher level of optional capabilities, intelligence, and adaptability than the lower V. series modems to make the best use of the available conditions. It can be integrated with GAO’s other data modem, telephony, speech compression, FoIP, VoIP, DSVD, imaging and video software for various applications.
This V.34 fax modem software supports data rates of 2.4 kbps up to 33.6 kbps in steps of 2.4 kbps. It enables full duplex, point-to-point 2 wire data communication over PSTN as well as leased circuits. The V34 modem software includes Trellis coding and shell mapping which makes it more robust over impaired channels. One of the most significant characters of the software is its use of increased bit rates to utilize maximum bandwidth permitted by the channel.
As compared to the lower speed fax modem software, GAO’s V.34 fax modem software has adaptive bandwidth and carrier frequencies and provides adaptive signalling through line probing by adjusting to channel quality and capacity. In addition, it also utilizes QAM on each channel and operates in synchronous mode.
This V.34 fax modem software belongs to GAO’s family of Fax Software.
