The UK Green Building Council is today expanding the reach and improving the flexibility of its learning and development programme by launching a new virtual learning environment.
The learning platform, which is developed and run in-house, is a response to the growing trend in online learning and will enable UK-GBC to offer updated and flexible content in line with the very latest policy and industry developments. It also allows UK-GBC to develop content with its members, sharing best practice and expertise from individual built environment sectors.
As part of the new platform, UK-GBC’s successful eight-hour online course “Introduction to Sustainability in the Built Environment” is re-launching with updated content and a fresh new look.
Cat Hirst, Head of Learning and Development at UK-GBC, said: “Our new virtual learning environment opens up our learning and development activities to a whole new audience and particularly those sustainability professionals who may not be able to access education through more traditional routes such as classroom learning because they are based on-site.
“Not only can we offer easier and more accessible online access, but we can provide content that is up to date, and can be tailored to the different areas of focus or objectives of our member organisations.”
The introduction courses, which are accessible for three weeks, run from:
Monday 7 to Friday 25 July
Monday 4 to Friday 29 August
Monday 8 to Friday 26 September
