Vodacom launches Free4Sho - Pay for 3 minutes and get the rest of the hour free
Vodacom today announced that on 10 February 2013, the company will launch 'Free4Sho', a customer promise that comprises of a range of products & services that will offer guaranteed free benefits to customers. The first customer offer under 'Free4Sho' is a new prepaid price plan called Vodacom Daily Free Calls where customers pay a new flat rate of R1.20 per minute to all networks. Calls made to Vodacom customers will only be charged for the first 3 minutes and the rest of the hour is free.
According to Vodacom's CEO Shameel Joosub, "Vodacom Daily Free Calls is simple, easy to use and offers great value to our customers. Customers will pay as little as 6 cents per minute and this not a promotional offer, it's a brand new prepaid price plan suitable for customers who make longer calls."
Joosub added, "Our slogan is 'There's free. Then there's Free4Sho' and that's because our customers will receive free benefits, guaranteed. So whenever customers see 'Free4Sho' they can always expect extra value free of charge".
With Vodacom Daily Free Calls, customers will receive free minutes on every call, everyday, peak or off peak and including weekends. The first three minutes of every call is billed at R1.20 per minute and the rest of the hour is free. In the event that the call duration exceeds one hour, the first 3 minutes of the second hour is billed at R1.20 per minute and the rest of the hour is free.
Prepaid customers can change from their current price plan to Vodacom Daily Free Calls by dialling 1181 direct from their Vodacom cellphones, or dial *111#, select FreeChange and follow the prompts.
