Volpe and Koenig, P.C., an intellectual property law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Princeton, New Jersey announced today that Shareholder John J. O'Malley was elected vice president of the Irish Immigration Center of Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (February 21, 2013) (PressReleasePoint) – Volpe and Koenig, P.C., an intellectual property law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Princeton, New Jersey announced today that Shareholder John J. O'Malley was elected vice president of the Irish Immigration Center of Philadelphia. O'Malley was elected by the organization’s board of directors and will serve a two-year term as vice president, which commenced on February 6, 2013. He has served on the Irish Immigration Center of Philadelphia’s board of directors since 2009.

Founded in 1998, the Irish Immigration Center of Philadelphia is located in Upper Darby, PA, and provides advice and support on a range of issues of interest to the Irish and immigrant communities throughout the region.

O'Malley concentrates his practice on advising clients on strategies for building brands and developing and protecting U.S. and international trademark portfolios. He earned a B.A., cum laude, in Political Science from George Washington University, and obtained his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law. O'Malley is co-vice president of the Irish-American Business Chamber Network’s board of directors, former president of the Brehon Law Society, and is also a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and actively involved with the International Trademark Association and Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association.

O'Malley resides in Nether Providence, PA with his wife and two sons.
