Volpe and Koenig, P.C., a leading intellectual property law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Princeton, New Jersey announced today that Shareholder John J. O'Malley has been appointed Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Intellectual Property Committee.

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (January 4, 2013) (PressReleasePoint) – Volpe and Koenig, P.C., a leading intellectual property law firm with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Princeton, New Jersey announced today that Shareholder John J. O'Malley has been appointed Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's ("the Bar's") Intellectual Property Committee.  O'Malley will serve for a one-year term as Co-Vice President, commencing January 2013.

O'Malley has been actively involved with the Bar for over 10 years.  He concentrates his practice on advising clients on strategies for building brands and developing and protecting U.S. and international trademark portfolios.  He received a B.A, cum laude, in Political Science from George Washington University, and also obtained his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.  In addition to being a member of the Bar, O'Malley is Co-Vice President of the Irish-American Business Chamber Network's Board of Directors, former President of the Brehon Law Society, and is also actively involved with the International Trademark Association, Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association, and Irish Immigration Center of Philadelphia.
