Voting Ends October 5 At Noon For Council Election And Proposed Bylaw Changes

Members of Engineers and Geoscientists BC have one more chance to submit their vote for two important decisions: the 2018/2019 Council Election, and member ratification for changes to four association bylaws.

Voting will close at noon on Friday, October 5, 2018. Professional engineers (P.Eng.), professional geoscientists (P.Geo.), engineering licensees (Eng.L.), and geoscience licensees (Geo.L) are eligible to vote. Voting results will be announced by October 12, 2018. Voting instructions are provided on our website.

2018/2019 Council Election

Candidate profiles for the 2018/2019 Council Election are provided on our website. This year, Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates were invited to participate in a short video as part of the candidate information presented to members. Videos for these candidates can be found on the candidate’s statement page.

Proposed Bylaw Changes

Association members also have an opportunity to vote on four bylaw amendments proposed by Council. These bylaw amendments relate to non-practising members; and life, honorary, and honorary life membership. Amendments to Engineers and Geoscientists BC’s bylaws require at least two-thirds (66.67%) support by voting members in order to pass.
