David Haye will be giving away 7st to Nikolay Valuev when they meet for the Russian's WBA heavyweight crown in Nuremberg on Saturday.
Haye scaled a career-high 15st 8lb at Friday's weigh-in, while Valuev, 36, was lighter than expected at 22st 8lb.
Haye, 29, is hoping to become Britain's first world heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis retired in 2003.
"This fight doesn't really need hype," he said. "A guy nearly a foot taller than me and seven stone heavier."
"It's 'how is this little British fella going to beat this Russian giant?' People want to see that.
"I've got the skills and the slickness, they're the things that will make the difference," Haye told BBC Sport.
606: DEBATE
If David Haye can knock out Nikolay Valuev - will it be the greatest moment in boxing history?
RedManShouts
Valuev has lost only once in 51 fights and at 7ft is nine inches taller than Londoner Haye, who is fighting at heavyweight for only the third time in his career.
While the weight differential is the second highest in heavyweight world title history [Valuev outweighed Monte Barrett by 7st 8lb in 2006], Valuev's manager Kalle Sauerland admitted Haye's speed had been taken into consideration.
Sauerland also revealed that the normally placid Russian has been riled by Haye's recent taunts and is vowing to take his revenge on Saturday.
"He's worked up by Haye's comments and he has been preparing something special for the start of the fight," said Sauerland.
"There is no doubt he is up for this, he knows the game-plan of David Haye and he's taken that into account with his preparation, hence the lost weight."
Former cruiserweight king Haye, who has also lost just once in 23 fights, has vowed to become the first man to knock Valuev out.
"I've boxed on foreign soil before [Haye claimed the undisputed cruiserweight title from Jean Marc Mormeck in Paris in 2007], I know what I have to do and I won't leave it to the judges," said Haye.
"That's never been my intention, I think I can knock him out. He's never been hurt before, never been buzzed, and I'm looking to do something that's never been done before.
Haye's David v Goliath task
"You've got to really go out there and rip the titles away from them in Germany, you can't try to nick a victory on points."
However, Sauerland was quick to dismiss Haye's suggestions, stating: "I've seen Nikolay hit in the past and it's been like watching a fly hit a car windscreen."
The heavyweight division has been bereft of interest in recent years and Haye has vowed to inject some much-needed excitement with a victory over Valuev.
"I do have a lack of experience and I understand peoples' worries, but I'll get twice the accolades when I win the world heavyweight title in only my third heavyweight fight," said Haye.
"I believe I'm the next big thing in the heavyweight division and next year people will baying for a big unification fight with the Klitschko brothers [Wladimir holds the IBF and WBO belts and Vitali the WBC]. That's my ultimate ambition, to unify the titles."
And Haye has the backing of Britain's former light-welterweight world champion Ricky Hatton, who believes Haye can transform boxing's Blue Riband division.
"The heavyweight division has always been the biggest in boxing," said Hatton.
"In recent years it's been a little bit quiet as far as excitement goes but David Haye is a massive introduction to the heavyweight division.
"If there's one thing you think of when it comes to David Haye, it is excitement.
"I think this is the first step on the ladder in the heavyweight division for him. I think he's going to look sensational."
Four-time world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, who dropped a controversial decision against Valuev last December, told BBC Sport he thinks Haye has the tools to emerge victorious.
If it goes 12 rounds, Valuev will win by decision
John Ruiz
"Haye's a very skilful fighter and anybody who uses their hands and their footwork and keeps moving is going to beat him [Valuev]," said Holyfield.
"Haye's got to be aggressive and keep moving, keep moving, keep moving, and when you've done the rest, go inside, throw two or three punches, get back out and keep doing the same thing."
However, the 47-year-old Holyfield has cautioned Haye against trying to knock Valuev out at all costs.
"If you put too much pressure on yourself trying to knock a big guy like that out you're going to telegraph the punches and it's going to be easy for him to hit you," said Holyfield.
"I would never tell a person 'you've got to knock this guy out', because you're going to shoot yourself out of gas and he's going to be able to pick you off. That's a desperate way to fight."
However, John Ruiz, who lost his WBA title to Valuev in controversial fashion in 2005 and who also dropped a close split decision against the Russian last year, believes a knockout might be the only way Haye can achieve a win on German soil.
"If it goes 12 rounds, Valuev will win by decision," the American told BBC Sport. "It's sad to say that judges come to Germany, and they always find a away to drop the bomb.
"I think he has to knock Valuev out, either that or look so good in each round, so unbelievable, that the judges can only make him the winner."
