In support of World Read Aloud Day (WRAD), Sheraton Cairo Management, have chosen one of the poor orphanages, where they spent a whole day reading stories aloud for the children

To bring attention to the importance of literacy across all countries and for all of humanity Lit World, organization has chosen March 3rd, 2010 to be the first World Read Aloud Day. The mission of World Read Aloud Day(WRAD), is to end illiteracy by spreading the power of story. The initiative came from the fact that over 101 million school-age children around the world do not have the resources to attend school.

In support of World Read Aloud Day (WRAD), Sheraton Cairo Management, represented by Mr. Sameh Abdel Wahab, Hotel Manager & Director of Operation, Mrs. Samia Zohny, Director of Human Resources, Mrs. Faten Halim, Director of Training, Ms. Renee Refaat, Towers’ Manager, and Mrs. Magda Sami, PR coordinator, Starwood Hotels & Resorts-Egypt have chosen one of the poor orphanages, where they spent a whole day reading stories aloud for the children. At the end of the day they donated animated & coloring books for the children, who extremely enjoyed the day and the lovely books donated by Sheraton Team.
