More than 100 artworks by pupils from local schools will be onshow in a temporary gallery at Goole Library on Carlisle Streetnext week (23 January – 3 February).

Young artists aged 5-18 from 24 schools took part in the DraxArt In The Community competition, now in its fifth year.

The library exhibition is the first leg of a mini tour of theworks following an award ceremony at Drax Sports and Social Club inDecember where the finalists received art supplies and the schoolsdonations which together totalled £3,500.

The second leg of the tour will take place at Goole LeisureCentre beginning 5 March 2012.
