About the Event

Through the cooperation and sponsorship of the Muslim Educational Trust and the Middle East Studies Center, renowned Dr. Adb-Almoneim Khidir Ahmed Dalouk of Khartoum, Sudan, will host two special lectures at Portland State University for a limited time this Tuesday, June 12th, and Thursday, June 14th.

Dr. Dalouk has devoted his academic and artistic career to exploring psychology, sexuality, reproductive health, as well as exploring the cultural heritage of Sudan. He has served as an art director, lecturer, prolific author, and professor at Ahfad University for Women and commits his time to researching, promoting and creating art.

This Tuesday, June 12th, Dr. Dalouk will host a lecture based upon Arabic Calligraphy, its methods, history, and connection to cultural expression. This Thursday, June 14th, he will present research regarding Sudanese ancient history. Both events will be open and free to the public and you are encouraged to attend both to explore Sudanese scholarship and art.
