Iron Mountain [IRM], the world leader in information management services, today announced the opening of their first technical facility in Bangalore and the first in India. To be known in India as Iron Mountain Services (P) Limited, the facility will be located at the Bagmane World Technology Centre, Mahadevpura.

Iron Mountain [IRM], the world leader in information management services, today announced the opening of their first technical facility in Bangalore and the first in India. To be known in India as Iron Mountain Services (P) Limited, the facility will be located at the Bagmane World Technology Centre, Mahadevpura.This facility is approximately sized at 28,000 sq and comprises of a Hybrid Delivery Model. In this model project planning and requirement gathering are executed onsite and the subsequent phases of the project knowledge transfer, design, development, delivery, infrastructure, operations and support are then carried out at the Global Delivery Centre in Bangalore. In fact Bangalore is the only captive Global Delivery Centre (GDC) providing IT/ IT Enabled Services to Iron Mountain North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific office locations.

Iron Mountain Inc., the Boston-based data storage company, runs one of the largest documents holding facilities in the world inside a former limestone mine in Butler County, Pa. Two hundred feet below the earth, in this abandoned limestone mine are 13 acres and 20 miles of road with data storage vaults. Each room, vault, tunnel and chamber has been specially designed to withstand nuclear and terrorist attacks. About 2,700 of the company's employees work inside the plant, and hundreds of customers lease space inside.
