The world's longest running seance event, Psychic Theaters "Haunted! Mind Mysteries & THE Beyond." is now in its 6th consecutive year at Scranton's Houdini Museum.

Scranton, PA, September 22, 2010 (PressReleasePoint) -- The world's longest running seance event, Psychic Theaters "Haunted! Mind Mysteries & THE Beyond." is now in its 6th consecutive year at Scranton's Houdini Museum. The Pennsylvania Department of Tourism has picked the building as one of the most haunted places in the state. "Haunted! Mind Mysteries & THE Beyond." tells the story of hauntings in the building at 1433 N. Main Avenue in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The city of Scranton has often been called "one of the most haunted cities in America." The hauntings are believed to be connected to a murder, suicide and electrocution that occurred years ago in the 150 year old home. Sitters are taken through the seven steps to do a seance in the very area where it all happened. It is based on real people and events including infamous area mystic George Valentine, "The man who challenged Houdini!" Parts of this was even reported in The New York Times. Photos and newspaper articles of the happenings are on display. The event, which can run four hours, includes experiments in mind control, telepathy, clairvoyance, telekinesis and sightless vision and includes different members of the audience. It all ends with the seance in the dark where the spirits of the leading characters are summoned. The audience is invited to participate throughout, including, of course, during the seance. Participants often stop the seance as it is in progress and leave out of fear. The event features world renowned mystery personalities " Supernormalist " Dick Brookz & Dorothy Dietrich

Searching for ghosts has become something of a national pastime, as well as on national TV. The event has gotten great reviews on the Internet on such sites as Trip Advisor , google maps and 570.com. Here are a few excerpts;
