Wyse Leads Discussions around Business’s Role in Society, Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity at World Economic Forum 2012 in Davo
SAN JOSE, Calif. – 01/23/2012 - Wyse Technology, the global leader in cloud client computing, will be participating in the 42nd Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum, which will focus on The Great Transformation: Shaping New Models. The meeting will be held in Davos, Switzerland January 25th-29th, 2012.
Tarkan Maner, President and CEO of Wyse will lead discussions during the World Economic Brainstorming session: “What Is the Role of Business in Society?” on Wednesday, January 25th from 13:00 to 14:30 at Congress Centre, Congress Hall. Business leaders, the Forum's Global Shapers and Global Agenda Council Members will explore three facets of this critical issue:
• How has the Great Recession fundamentally changed societal expectations?
• Who are the key stakeholders and what do they value most in this new context?
• How can business ensure its social licence to operate for the future?
We are faced with transformational changes in social values, resource needs and technological advances as never before. This creates an indisputable leadership challenge that ultimately requires new models, bold ideas and personal courage to ensure that this century improves the human condition rather than capping its potential. Thus, the Annual Meeting 2012 will convene under the theme, The Great Transformation: Shaping New Models, whereby leaders return to their core purpose of defining what the future should look like, aligning stakeholders around that vision and inspiring their institutions to realize that vision.
