XM Satellite Radio Praises PNet Implementation
PNet Procure-to-Pay Solution Implemented in 12 Weeks
Red Bank, NJ
April 24, 2007 - This week, top procurement management at XM Satellite Radio voiced approval of their recent implementation of PurchasingNet, Inc.’s Procure-to-Pay software solutions (http://www.purchasingnet.com/).
XM Satellite Radio began using PNet Procure-to-Pay software in October 2006 to help manage expenses and enhance spend visibility across all of XM’s indirect categories including, IT, Listener Customer Care, professional services, marketing, business services, programming and broadcast operations.
At the onset of the project, one of the primary goals was for XM to process almost all purchases over $1,000 through the PNet Procure-to-Pay system. After the initial phase of the implementation, all P.O. and Non-P.O. invoices are now being processed in the PNet ePayables suite. Approved invoices are then sent electronically to XM’s Lawson AP system where payment is made.
“We are pleased with the the PNet implementation and the high level of users adoption and satisfaction with the system” said Valmore Bloomberg, Director of Procurement for XM Satellite Radio. “ PNet’s eProcurement and payables solutions facilitated the automation of our entire procure to pay process and has quickly given us the spend visibility we need to make informed sourcing decisions as well as lowering our transaction costs. .
“Our Implementation Team helped to get PNet eProcurement and ePayables into production in record time,” said Tim McEneny, President & CEO of PurchasingNet, Inc. “Using the PurchasingNet Proven Path Deployment Methodology™ (PPDM™), XM Satellite Radio was up and running in 12 weeks,” he said. XM’s internal PNet project team members received an award for the successful implementation.
