Young painter from the Algarve Janine Costa, displays “Janine’s’ Art” at As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa

From June 12th until August 31th, As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa, the 5-star all-Suite Vilamoura resort with the largest most luxurious Suites, located in the luxury Algarve destination, will open its doors to art again, and exhibits paintings of the young Algarve artist, Janine Costa, with her collection "Janine’s’ Art."

Janine Costa was born in Faro, in 1982, and since she was 9 has lived in Olhão. She began her 4 year’s painting apprenticeship at Inatel with José Maria Oliveira, a prominent artist whose work discloses painting, drawing, sculpture in terra cotta and cartoon, among others, while for another 4 years, she attended classes in classical painting with Master Renato, a well acknowledged tutor. Recently Janine completed a course of surrealist art, faces, sculptures and creativity.

According to the painter, she applies the classic oil technique, although she is interested in other areas and makes use of various types of materials. The painter’s main objective is to transmit her deepest feelings through images and put on show a different perception of art.

Painting is Janine’s Costa passion, and she tries to reconcile the art of painting and drawing with a professional employment as Receptionist – while her dream is to see her talent recognised in order to devote herself fulltime to painting and drawing.

Janine’s work has been displayed in various locations such as Inatel (Faro), Casa dos Artistas (Faro), Antiquário Gramofone (Faro), Aljezur’s Municipal Museum, and also several other hotels in the Algarve.

The Vilamoura holidays destination, As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa, has already received this year, an additional exhibition, from the painter Celina, entitled "Between Two Worlds". The beach and the imaginary contemplation over the sea and the sun, inspired by Arrábida’s Mountain and the estuary of River Sado, were the central subject of this exhibition.

The present exhibition organized by As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa in collaboration with Janine Costa, includes 9 canvases and its open to public in the common areas of this Vilamoura resort until August 31st, 2010.
