The 2013 Young Researchers Conclave (YRC) at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) has grown bigger this year.
Ahmedabad, Gujarat, January 07, 2014 -(PressReleasePoint)- The 2013 Young Researchers Conclave (YRC) at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) has grown bigger this year. The event which had a total of 33 participants last year has grown to 50 participants from across the world this year. For the first time this year, the event will also have researcher scholars from the hosting institute among its participants. The two-day event will begin on Friday, December 27, 2013.
YRC is an event at IITGN which is designed to provide a common platform for scholarly exchange of research ideas among brilliant young minds. While 51 percent of the participants from outside IITGN were from foreign institutes last year, the number has gone up to 67 percent this year. The foreign participants have come from various institutes in US, UK and European countries.
IITGN Faculty Prof. Harish P. M. who is one of the coordinators of the event said, “We have received a very positive response from various institutes across the world for the event this year. We are also very happy that research scholars from IITGN are also taking part in the event this year as this will promote interaction between IITGN research scholars and the research scholars from across the world.”
The event will provide the participants an opportunity to: Discuss new possibilities and challenges in Indian academics; Learn about funding opportunities and collaborative projects in India; Visit a progressive new institute that supports innovative teaching and research and Interact with fellow scholars. This event is also designed to be an ideal platform for prospective faculty candidates to discover India's rapidly expanding academic opportunities and learn first-hand information about opportunities at IITGN.
