Certification program assures customers receive support services from highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals

The Netherlands., November 10, 2011 - (PressReleasePoint) - Zarafa, the leading European provider of open source groupware and collaboration software and the Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization, today announced that they will join forces in a training and certification program in the Benelux, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Zarafa will integrate LPI's certification program and Zarafa Certified Engineers will have an official registration at the LPI website for their LPI exams and certifications at the URL: https://cs.lpi.org/caf/Xamman/register. The certification program will assure customers that they are receiving support services from highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals.

As of January 1, 2012 meeting the requirements of LPI’s LPIC-1 (or Red Hat’s RHCSA) will be a prerequisite to become a Zarafa Certified Engineer. LPIC-1 is the widely-recognized worldwide industry standard in Linux certification.

Marc Verkade, Manager Support and Professional Services at Zarafa says: “This partnership shows that Zarafa continues to monitor quality and professionalism. We will promote the growth of the number of Zarafa Certified Engineers and facilitate the certification process by offering LPI 101 and LPI 102 exams, to get the LPIC-1 certification, during Zarafa trainings and trade fairs.”

Klaus Behrla, CEO at LPI Central Europe, says: "We, at LPI Central Europe, welcome quite extraordinarily that Zarafa, one of the leading providers of open source groupware, has defined the worldwide quality standard LPIC-1 as a prerequisite for its Zarafa Certified Engineers. This clearly indicates that other organizations and companies can set up their own quality standards on top of the LPI certification program.“

Zarafa has recently launched its renewed Training Program that consists of a Zarafa Administrator Training (basic) and the (advanced) Zarafa Engineer Training.
