24 May: Lloyds TSB appoints investment advice & private clients director for wealth

Lloyds TSB Private Banking has appointed Sarah Deaves as Investment Advice & Private Clients Director for Wealth, based in London. Starting on 1 June, she will report into Russell Galley, Managing Director, Wealth.

Sarah joins from Royal Bank of Scotland, where she was Managing Director, Private Banking & Advice, with responsibility for a £1bn revenue business of 4,000 frontline staff. Prior to this, Sarah spent eight years as the first female Chief Executive of Coutts & Co. She has also chaired and been a director of a number of Boards.

Russell Galley, Managing Director of Wealth at Lloyds TSB Private Banking, commented: “Sarah brings some 30 years of experience in the banking industry, the last 10 years in Wealth Management – including investment and IFA businesses – and the rest across a wide range of activities including marketing, product innovation, telephone banking, cards and lending, all of which have key relevance to our own activities. The appointment of such a high-calibre individual is testament to our commitment to investing and growing the UK Wealth business.”
