NEW YORK, October 1, 2014 – Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will attend and speak at the Inaugural Service Awards Program honoring the families of America’s fallen heroes, hosted by the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Stella 34.
Secretary Clinton will receive the Lifetime Service Award from TAPS, the national nonprofit organization that cares for families of America’s fallen military heroes, in recognition of her support. She is expected to speak about TAPS and its work to help grieving military families. She previously spoke at a TAPS luncheon in 2006 and has served as a TAPS honorary chairperson.
During the event, the TAPS corporate engagement award will be presented to Mr. Mark Grier, vice chairman of Prudential Financial, Inc., for Prudential’s longstanding commitment to U.S. military veterans, active service members and their families.
