Public Notice of Intent to Award

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health Division (MCAH) is pleased to announce its intent to award the following applicants at the corresponding Title V funding levels for AFLP for the contract period of July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023. CDPH/MCAH received 27 applications, of which the 16 highest scoring applicants have been selected for funding. To maximize the number of awards, CDPH/MCAH used a needs-based funding methodology and applied the mid-range funding levels, as outlined in the RFA, corresponding to an adjusted case management fulltime equivalency. Details on Title XIX requested amounts will be provided at a later date for sites to which this applies.

The RFA process was highly competitive, and CDPH/MCAH wishes to thank all applicants for their thoughtful proposals and commitment to promoting the health of expectant and parenting youth in California.

Awards are tentative until completion of the RFA process and the Final Notice of Awards, which CDPH/MCAH anticipates posting on March 27, 2020. All awards are contingent upon federal funding levels and appropriations, contract negotiations, and state spending authority. As indicated in the RFA, Applicants may request a copy of their review results by emailing AFLP_RFA@cdph.ca.gov .
