SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA, January 28, 2009-- ArtinSoft, leading provider of automated software transformation technology, has engaged with Microsoft and Avanade on a campaign targeted at both individual developers and enterprise customers in the UK to help them migrate their Visual Basic 6.0 applications in a fast and cost-effective manner.

During the campaign, ArtinSoft will be providing resources and guidance, along with limited-time offers. For example, a scaled down version of ArtinSoft’s flagship migration tool will be available, under the nameVisual Basic Upgrade Companion (VBUC) Developer Edition, at a special introductory price, allowing to quickly migrate smaller applications from Visual Basic 6.0 to high quality, 100% native .NET code, while preserving all the business critical functionality embedded in the original system.

"The VBUC Developer Edition allows developers to migrate Visual Basic 6.0 applications of up to 50,000 lines of code", said Jose Aguilar, Program Manager for ArtinSoft."It includes powerful features like C# code generation and the migration of multi-project applications, among other characteristics aimed at automating as much of the migration process as possible. All of this comes at a price point that will benefit thousands of independent developers.”

Also, enterprise customers with larger applications and more complex migration needs will be able to purchase the full-featured Visual Basic Upgrade Companion with a substantial discount, or opt for a turn-key solution delivered by Avanade’s migration experts.

Although ArtinSoft has provided migration solutions in the UK for over a decade, this is the first time the company join forces on a massive scale effort locally withMicrosoftandAvanade, two of its major partners.
