BRISTOL, Tenn. —BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, along with Healing Hands Health Center, and dental graduates from East Tennessee State University will present 500 dental hygiene kits to students at Emmett Elementary School.
What: Dental hygiene kits presented to elementary school children
Where: Emmett Middle School, 753 Emmett Road, Bristol, Tenn.
When: Monday, Dec. 5, 2016
- 9 a.m. Pre-K
- 9:30 a.m. Kindergarten
- 10 a.m. 1st Grade
- 10:30 a.m. 2nd Grade
- 11 a.m. 3rd Grade
- 11:30 a.m. 4th Grade
- Noon 5th Grade
“Proper dental care is an important part of your overall health,” said JD Hickey, MD president and chief executive officer at BlueCross. “We are excited about working with Healing Hands and ETSU to provide these children with dental kits and care instruction.” The kits include an adult toothbrush, a child’s toothbrush, children’s toothpaste, children’s dental floss, a cup, a timer, a toothbrush cover and chewable tablets that will show them how well they are brushing.
