Boney Kapoor Loses 14 Kilograms and Gets a Hair Transplant; Suggests Akshaye Khanna to Do a Transplant

At a press conference held by Eugenix Hair Sciences, Kapoor revealed that he had undergone a hair transplant, a decision he made after years of contemplation and encouragement from his doctors. His late wife, Sridevi, had always urged him to focus on weight loss before considering the procedure, a piece of advice he ultimately heeded.

Boney candidly spoke about his journey towards better health and his decision to get a hair transplant. He shared the reasons behind his initial hesitation, stating, “My wife Sri used to tell me, ‘Boney, first lose weight then you can fix your hair.’ Later, some people told me, bald people are often lucky. They gave examples of Yash Chopra. They would say, ‘Look, Yash Chopra is also bald but so rich.’ So I fell for this and remained bald for quite some time.”

Eventually, Boney Kapoor decided to go ahead with the hair transplant. “Finally, one day, I was convinced to get a hair transplant. In three days, they planted almost 6 thousand hair,” he revealed.

Kapoor also shared the motivation behind his weight loss. He said, “During the process, I remembered my wife’s advice who wanted me to lose weight before the hair transplant, so I went on a diet and lost about 14 kgs and now I am in better shape. It’s hard for me to exercise, but yet after I shed some weight, I went to the doctor for the hair transplant.”

In a lighter moment, Boney recounted a conversation with his daughter about Sridevi's reservations regarding the hair transplant. “Even Sri was skeptical about the hair transplant. Just today, I was discussing this with my daughter and asked her, ‘Why was your mom against my hair transplant?’ She said, ‘She thought after it you will become a better-looking person.’ This was a secret until today,” he joked.
