Cardinal Blase J. Cupich to Ordain Seven Priests for the Archdiocese of Chicago on Monday, June 29, 2020 at St. John Brebeuf Parish in Niles, Ill.
Chicago - (June 17, 2020) – Cardinal Blase J. Cupich, archbishop of Chicago, will ordain seven diocesan priests at 10 a.m., on Monday, June 29, 2020 at St. John Brebeuf Parish, 8305 N. Harlem Ave., Niles, Ill. The newly-ordained priests range in age from 27 to 52 and hail from the Archdiocese of Chicago, as well as from Colombia, Ecuador, Guam and the Philippines. Cardinal Cupich will also ordain a priest for ministry in the Archdiocese of Tabora, Tanzania during this celebration.

Los Angeles-area man pleads guilty to bank fraud for setting up accounts that laundered $1.9 million in falsely obtained tax refunds
LOS ANGELES – A Glendale man pleaded guilty today to a federal fraud charge for opening more than a dozen bank accounts, knowing that they would be used to launder fraudulently obtained tax refunds obtained by filing tax returns under stolen identities.

After federal agents interviewed him in connection with this case, Martirosyan fled the United States before he was named in a federal grand jury indictment filed in November 2017.
