New York, NY (July 28, 2022) – Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that it has been recognized in the inaugural BTI Associate Satisfaction A-Listers report, the 2022 Survey of Law Firms Where Associates Are Happiest, research focused on what associates want and value in a law firm.
According to BTI, several factors drive associate job satisfaction, including a firm’s commitment—and action—to help their career through training and mentorship, as well as optimism about growing within the firm.
BTI noted that associates name EBG as “Distinguished,” and more specifically, women associates name the firm as a “Leader,” in activities associates value most.
At EBG, it is our mission to achieve focused excellence, as demonstrated in the services we provide and in the professionals we hire. We are committed to attracting, cultivating, and retaining legal professionals of the highest caliber by promoting a rich and rewarding firm culture that is collegial, energetic, and entrepreneurial. Many of our attorneys began their legal careers at EBG, either through our summer program or as junior associates, and have remained to join the ranks of our partners and senior leadership.
We encourage the professional development of all our attorneys by providing training opportunities, hands-on work experience, mentoring, and pro bono opportunities. To support this goal, EBG has established educational training programs—EBG Academy and EBG University—which offer in-house training and other types of professional development opportunities. In addition to learning necessary legal and practical skills, these programs enable our attorneys to acquire substantive knowledge of the firm’s practice areas and build critical business development skills. Moreover, EBG created an Associate Shadowing Program (ASP) in 2017 to provide an opportunity for associates to observe or participate in important client service-related activities. The ASP provides experiences that improve an associate’s confidence, skill set, and professional development.
We believe that mentors contribute enormously to the success of an attorney’s career and satisfaction. The purpose of the firm’s mentoring program is to ensure that every attorney is oriented and integrated into our culture and work environment and has an opportunity to form new peer connections and build on already existing relationships in an effort to maximize professional growth.
