SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Excellus BlueCross BlueShield is pleased to announce that it has received approval from the New York State Department of Health to offer its HMOBlue Option and Blue Option Plus Medicaid managed care products to residents of Onondaga County.
HMOBlue Option provides no-cost health coverage to eligible individuals who are younger than age 65 and meet certain income, resource, or disability requirements. Blue Option Plus includes the same benefits as HMOBlue Option but offers an additional set of benefits and care coordination for those who have qualifying mental health and substance use disorders.
