Kemp TX: Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of a 25 kVA temporary power distribution system that converts single-phase 480V AC electrical current into single-phase 120/240V AC. This unit gives operators the ability to tap into and distribute 480V AC power from generators and direct grid power.
The MGL25-8C-480-5X120-3X240 temporary power distribution system allows operators the ability to power their 240V and 120V equipment from a single system. This unit features a primary side that connects 480V line-in power using 20’ of #8 Type W cable. The secondary side connects two CS8269 receptacles for 250V equipment to one CS6369 receptacle for 120/240V equipment, and to one CS6370 receptacle for 120V equipment, and to four 5-20R duplex GFCI receptacles for 120V equipment.
Larson Electronics’ power distribution system features receptacles that are equipped with weatherproof covers. The secondary panel contains three 40-amp, 2-pole, 250V breakers that protect two 50-amp, 250V CS8269 receptacles and one 50-amp, 125/250V CS6369 receptacle. The transformer and load enter assembly are mounted to a steel dolly cart style frame with two run-flat tires for easy mobility.
The transformer for this unit is grounded to the frame via a grounding lug that is provided. Suitable applications include construction sites, plant maintenance and turnarounds, and more.
