Kemp TX: Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of a 30 kVA power distribution panel that converts 208V AC three-phase electrical current into 480V three phase. This unit offers operators the ability to tap into and distribute 208V AC power from generators and direct grid power sources.
The MPD-208.CL-30KVA-480.3P.30A.TL power distribution substation is portable and gives operators the ability to power their 480V equipment from a single system. The primary side allows operators to connect three-phase 208V line-in power via one set of E1016 male panel cam-locks (black, red, blue, green). The secondary side allows operators to connect to one L16-30R receptacle for 480V equipment. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers.
Larson Electronics’ power distribution system features a NEMA 3R 100-amp, 250V three-phase primary disconnect that contains three 100-amp time delay fuses and passes power through to the transformer. The transformer and load assembly are mounted on a 3/16” thick carbon steel mounting platform with the load center assembly mounted to the standard 2” by 2” by 1/8” square carbon steel tubing frame. The transformer is grounded to the frame via a grounding lug that is provided. Suitable applications include construction sites, plant maintenance and turnarounds, and more.
