U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $1.1 Million to Protect Iowa Businesses from Future Floods
WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.1 million grant to the M&P Missouri River Levee District of Glenwood, Iowa, to support resiliency planning to protect the region from future flooding disasters. The EDA grant will be matched with $279,149 in local investment.

Kentucky, Missouri, and Texas Added to Innovative SNAP Online Pilot Program
This approval will allow the States to expedite the implementation of online purchasing with currently authorized SNAP online retailers with a target start date to be announced at a later time. Kentucky’s SNAP participation is over 500,000 individuals, more than 225,000 households, and totals nearly $750 million annually in federal funding.

United States Attorney Ron Parsons announced that a Mission, South Dakota, man convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession of Firearms in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime, and Drug User in Possession of Firearms was sentenced on April 20, 2020, by Chief Judge Roberto A. N.C. Structural Pest Control Committee announces
RALEIGH – The N.C. Structural Pest Control Committee recently approved the following settlement agreements. St. Baldricks Foundation Awards Over $1.8 Million in Grants to Fund the Next Generation of Pediatric Oncologists
LOS ANGELES (April 17, 2020) – The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, has awarded 12 Fellows and 18 Summer Fellows totaling more than $1.8 million to institutions across the country. USDA Announces Coronavirus Food Assistance Program
