Dubai based customers get full telemedicine services with local doctors through the new LiveDoc Video Consultation service.
Orient Insurance Company and Allianz Care, working with Allianz Care’s sister company NEXtCARE, have recently launched the LiveDoc Video Consultation service in Dubai. This service allows customers to speak to fully qualified UAE-based doctors from the comfort of their own home or office. LiveDoc is available to companies and private families who chose the International Healthcare Plans for Dubai, underwritten and sold by Orient Insurance Company and designed by Allianz Care, the international health brand of Allianz Partners.
LiveDoc is the first telemedicine service available in the UAE which allows international health insurance customers to speak to Arabic or English-speaking doctors based in the UAE via a dedicated app. These doctors can conduct remote examinations, provide medical advice, recommend treatments and offer prescriptions for over the counter drugs (when needed) for non-emergency medical concerns. There is also the option to have prescriptions delivered straight to the patient’s door in Dubai.
Speaking about the launch, Omer Hassan Elamin, President of Orient Group said:
“We’re delighted to launch a full telemedicine service to our international health customers in Dubai. We believe in bringing ever more convenience to our customers, a mission we share with Allianz”.
Speaking on behalf of Allianz Care, Paula Covey, Chief Marketing Officer, added:
“Our goal is to keep making it easier for customers to access care, and technology is key to achieving this. We want to create health services which help address people’s challenges in today’s increasingly fast paced world. Whether those challenges are due to lack of time, or a lack of information and guidance to make the right choices for their health. What’s great about LiveDoc is that it isn’t just a medical advice service. It’s just like a regular visit to a doctor, with a consultation, examination, treatment plan and prescription if needed. Customers don’t have to battle through busy traffic to see a doctor. Plus they can choose a time that fits with their lifestyle and family or work commitments. LiveDoc has been extremely well received to date.
We’re looking forward to rolling out more services like this globally, including medical advice, teleconsultation and prescriptions. This initiative is in line with Allianz Partners’ goal to bring the convenience of teleconsultation to more and more customers around the world, across its different business lines”.
