The 592 touchdowns scored by Pac-12 teams in 2022 resulted in the $118,400 donation in the second year of the program.

SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Conference announced today a total of $118,400 has been raised for social justice organizations through “Touchdowns for Equality,” a philanthropic initiative presented by Pacific Premier Bank and Paycor, the Official Bank and Official HR Software Provider of the Pac-12, respectively. The United Negro College Fund and National Urban League will split the total donation evenly.
Pac-12 partners Pacific Premier Bank and Paycor both committed to donating $100 for every touchdown scored by a Pac-12 team each week of the 2022 regular season, as well as at last week’s Pac-12 Football Championship Game between USC and Utah. Pac-12 programs combined for a total of 592 touchdowns during the year, resulting in the $118,400 donation.
"We are thrilled to work with our partners, Pacific Premier Bank and Paycor, on such an impactful initiative,” said Pac-12 Networks Executive Vice President, Sales, Steve Tseng . “'Touchdowns for Equality' demonstrates the Pac-12's commitment to supporting social justice organizations and using the power of our top-class sport programs to bring about positive change."
“Touchdowns for Equality” was developed following an original partnership between the Pac-12 and Pacific Premier Bank. “Threes for Equality,” which launched ahead of the 2021 Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, facilitates $100 donations for every three-pointer knocked down during the tournaments. The partnership and philanthropic investment from Pacific Premier Bank and the Pac-12 continued through the 2022 Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments and the 2022 football season, when Paycor became an official partner.
“Pacific Premier Bank is proud to partner with the Pac-12 Conference through “Touchdowns for Equality” to invest in two organizations that promote social justice,” said Sherri Scott , Pacific Premier’s Senior EVP / Director of ESG and Corporate Responsibility. “This is a wonderful opportunity to honor the efforts of the Pac-12’s student-athletes while supporting the important work of these organizations.”
Paycor, a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) software and the Official HR Software Provider of the Pac-12, joined the “Touchdowns for Equality” program with Pacific Premier Bank this season, doubling the per-touchdown donation from the inaugural 2021 campaign and helping to generate a $68,700 year-over-year increase in the total amount donated to the social justice organizations.
“Social justice is important to us at Paycor, and we are proud to be part of this initiative,” said Raul Villar Jr. , Chief Executive Officer of Paycor. “Equality is vital for success – both in and out of the workplace – and these donations will help The United Negro College Fund and the National Urban League in their respective missions to build a more equal future for all.”
