With the pressure on pro-abortion President Joe Biden ratcheting up on all fronts, it’s not surprising that pro-abortion California Gov. Gavin Newsom and pro-abortion Governor J.B Spitzer of Illinois should be angling to pick up the Democratic nomination for president if Biden falters.

Of course, they support unlimited abortion even as they brush off any suggestions that they would kill unborn babies in the ninth month. To her credit, Kristen Welker, the moderator of NBC News’s “Meet the Press,” tried to pin the elusive Newsom down. She had no more success than Fox News’s Sean Hannity.
During Newsom’s debate with pro-life Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Newsom bobbed and weaved, ducked and crouched when Hannity asked if he would protect unborn babies from abortion in the 7th, 8th, or 9th month provided the woman’s life was not at risk. Reaching into his bag of cliches, Newsom came back with something out of the 1970s. He would trust “the woman, her doctor and her conscience.”
Meanwhile, Newsom’s super PAC is launching a new TV ad in Tennessee targeting “Trump Republicans” on abortion, NBC News’s Kristen Welker , Alexandra Marquez , and Sally Bronston reported.
The ad from Campaign for Democracy, which was shared first with NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” features a young woman handcuffed to a hospital bed, screaming for help while a narrator tells viewers, “Trump Republicans want to criminalize young women who travel to receive the reproductive care they need. Don’t let them hold Tennessee women hostage.”
Of course, there is no law in place or proposed that would “criminalize” women for having an abortion in their home state or if they travel out of state. The abortionist is the one on the receiving end of penalties. NRLC along with other major prolife organizations have issued a letter opposing any bill or law that would seek to penalize the woman for having an abortion. See here .
Newsom’s “war on travel” joins the equally hysterical “war on women” as the pro-abortionists’ chief calling card in lieu of a reasoned response.
