Santa Monica College to Hold Fire Support Resource Drive


The SMC Foundation will collect donations of food, clothing, hygiene products, baby supplies, blankets (any size), and other necessities to be distributed to people in need in Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Brentwood , and Greater Los Angeles County . Special two-day event to aid students, employees, and community members affected by recent fires 

What : Santa Monica College (SMC) is holding a two-day Fire Support Resource Drive to aid students, employees, and members of the community affected by the recent catastrophic fires. The SMC Foundation will collect donations of food, clothing, hygiene products, baby supplies, blankets (any size), and other necessities to be distributed to people in need in Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Brentwood , and Greater Los Angeles County . The SMC Foundation has also established the  Santa Monica Community College Disaster Support Fund (opens in new window)  (smc.edu/disastersupport) to raise at least $250,000 to help provide SMC students, faculty, and staff with temporary housing, food, water, clothing, transportation, medical supplies, school materials, and emergency funding to support immediate needs.
