Two of Rutgers Business School’s online master programs were recently ranked in their respective Top 10 in the U.S. by two different highly regarded sources. Online Masters ranked the Master of Accountancy in Governmental Accounting #5 and Best for Government Employees. BestColleges.com ranked the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management #8 in the Best Online Master’s Programs category.
The #5 ranked Master of Accountancy in Governmental Accounting 30-credit program is offered entirely online at the same cost for out-of-state students as for in-state students. The program flexibility enables students to complete the program part-time while working, or in as little as a year while fulfilling the additional credits required to sit for the New Jersey CPA exam.
Irfan Bora, assistant professor of professional practice and director of Master of Accountancy in Governmental Accounting said, “We are gratified that the governmental accounting program has received this recognition. The only program of its kind in the nation and due to its unique online nature, we continue to attract students who aspire towards careers in public financial management and those who would like to enhance their skills in this area.”
A four-course online graduate certificate program is also available; the credits can be applied toward the master degree.
Online Masters’ methodology considers academic quality (40%), student success (40%), and affordability (20%). They committed 90 hours of research examining every online master in accounting program in the U.S. and consulted 35 industry experts, hiring managers, current students, and alumni to rank the top 50 programs.
Students in the #8 ranked Master of Science Supply Chain Management select any 10 of the 15 courses (30 credits) in the program which are offered on a 12-month cycle (fall, spring, summer semesters). Students can complete the program in as little as one year, or take longer as their schedules allow.

While enrolled in the program, current students enjoyed an almost 19% increase in base salary, and alumni already experience a 26% increase.
BestColleges.com analyzed data from IPEDS and the College Navigator, both of which are hosted by the National Center for Education Statistics. They researched academic quality (50%), affordability (25%), and online programming (25%).
