Writer undertakes intense writing challenge to produce a crime novel and a second “how-to” book about the process within 30 days.
Ceret, France, June 30, 2012 - (PressReleasePoint) - Published author and writing teacher Annette Young believes that anyone can write a novel in a month and will document the entire process online in July, which will also be turned into a second "how-to" book for writers.
"The information for my crime novel, 'Who Killed September Falls?,' has been gradually growing in my mind, but apart from an initial idea of the characters, I will be starting from scratch on day one," said Young. "I have created a website which will be updated throughout the month with the character development profiles, my own artwork, novel synopsis, online diary and a video blog."
The second part of her writing challenge will serve as the basis for another book, one based on her own one-month novel writing experience. She hopes that this book will help to encourage and motivate other writers, especially those with limited free time.
"This (second book) will be a stand-alone product for any writer who wants to understand how I approached the challenge, any mistakes I made en-route and hopefully, my success at the end of the month," said Young. "It's putting all my writing knowledge into practical application and testing out my belief that you can really achieve anything in a very short time frame. I aim to have both books available on Amazon on or before July 31."
Young will also let readers choose the cover for her newly-written e-book crime novel. Four possible e-book covers have been produced and readers can vote on their favorite. One lucky voter will also receive a free copy of her e-book. Young is a writing teacher, freelance writer, editor and owner of creativecompetitor.com, an online website for writers and publishing-related services. Her website also provides writer resources and holds regular writing competitions with prizes. Young is also the author of several books about writing. She resides in Ceret, a small town in the south of France near the Pyrenees Mountains. UK Author Shows How You Can Write Two Books in Just a Month
