Piedmont Airlines, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways. In December, 2013, US Airways and American Airlines completed a merger to officially form American Airlines Group, Inc. As a result, Piedmont is now a member of the world’s largest airline.
Piedmont was founded in 1931 as Henson Flying Service, a fixed-base operator based in Hagerstown, Maryland. Today, Piedmont operates nearly 400 daily departures to 55 cities throughout the eastern United States with a fleet of deHavilland DHC-8 turbo prop aircraft. Our ground handling team works in 80 airport locations from coast to coast.
Piedmont corporate headquarters can be found in beautiful Salisbury, Maryland between the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay. We employ more than 5500 aviation professionals who share common goals of safety, excellence and superior customer service.
