Piedmont Airlines, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways. In December, 2013, US Airways and American Airlines completed a merger to officially form American Airlines Group, Inc. As a result, Piedmont is now a member of the world’s largest airline. Piedmont was founded in 1931 as Henson Flying Service, a fixed-base operator based in Hagerstown, Maryland. Today, Piedmont operates nearly 400 daily departures to 55 cities throughout the eastern United States with a fleet of deHavilland DHC-8 turbo prop aircraft. Our ground handling team works in 80 airport locations from coast to coast.
