About SUSS MicroTec

SUSS MicroTec was founded by Karl Süss in 1949 as a distributor of optical equipment from Leitz in Munich in Southern Germany. Soon the company becomes famous for their customized adaptions of the products offered. In 1963, the company develops together with Siemens, a simple photolithography machine for the production of transistors.
