Over the last 50 years, UCLA Fielding School of Public Health has played an instrumental role in advancing the field of public health in the areas of research, training and service. Our world class faculty in collaboration with students have made research discoveries that have improved the health of communities large and small around the world; our talented students come from all over the globe to receive training and mentoring from our faculty, then take their knowledge to become leaders in communities as far as the Congo and as near as East LA; through our field study programs, faculty and students bring information and education to underserved communities, that have changed behaviors and saved lives.
