PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that work to replace the Cedar Road bridge in Grayson County will begin Sept. 16.
Contractor Highway 19 Construction LLC was granted 51 working days, weather permitting, to complete this project valued at more than $475,000. The target completion date for this project is December 2019, officials said.
The contractor will replace the Cedar Road bridge over Cedar Creek east of State Highway 11, and both approaches to the new bridge. The road will be closed until the project is completed.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through any work zone. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
